I also have the same question, to know how to replace the key. Share the way to program it or i should take help from any locksmith expert to do it.

I ordered my replacement remote for my 2008 impala from amazon and programmed it with the dashboard functions. Chipped keys as well. I cut mine myself with a dremel tool, but you can have a hardware store or locksmith cut them and program it from your dashboard for a fraction of the price an dealership charges. And yes it was an remote starter kind.

After getting it from amazon, Dealer has programmed it for you or a locksmith?

You can get remote fob from dealership also but a locksmith will provide you that fob at cheap.
