Default Replacing 07 bulbs....

I'm wanting to replace all the stock bulbs in my LS to some simple Xenon bulbs. I'd like to stay away from the kits for now. But I'd like to switch out the high, low and daytime bulbs so they all match. I've seen that the low beams are H11, but I haven't seen the info for the rest. Also, since I have an LS, I'd like to get some nice aftermarket fog lights to match. I'm guessing 4" fogs would fit nicely in the valance. I'll probably wire the fogs or even driving lights to come on with the low beams at dusk/night. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Why does anyone want their foglites on with their lo-beams during non-fog conditions? All it does is annoy oncoming drivers. I guess some think it is cool but when they find out the bulbs are pretty pricey (& burn out quicker than other lites), may change their mind.

I don't get annoyed when others have their fogs on, it's not light they're mounted high enough to blind me. I don't have much of a choice if I don't want an aftermarket switch installed on my console than to have them on with either the DRL's or the Low Beams. I rarely run my DRL's anyways and I'd want my fogs to work with the low beams at night, so maybe it would be less annoying for other drivers for me to wire them to come on with the low beams.

I guess my point is that the fog lites don't throw enough lite out to be of any use in non-fog condition. To see this, just turn them on without lo or hi beams (just parking lites). They don't illuminate much.

Now if you are planning on putting in off-road lites, that's entirely different. Good luck.

Driving lights would be a better option too, right?

If properly aimed. That's the problem with a lot of vehicles with aftermarket driving lites especially if they are the kind that fry mosquitoes at a 100 yards.

I plan on getting them aimed properly. Because I hate it when I see other vehicles with their headlights out of whack. I'd hate to become one of those people. []

So can anyone out there recommend a good size for my empty fog light area in my bumper? Also what manufacturer would be a good match?

Shark:

I'll admit that occasionally I'm the guy with my fog lights on in no fog conditions. I agree they are not enough light to drive with, but I feel they do add some additional light to the side in the immediate front of the vehicle. I use them in conjunction with my low beams, I don't ever drive with just the fog lights. I'm not trying to argue, but am wondering how they annoy you. Is it the light or lack of light that annoys you, or is it just that people use them when they aren't deemed neccessary in your opinion.
