DRL's DO help prevent accidents in low level lighting situations, and poor weather conditions when a driver may not have the good foresight to turn on their own lights...
And you might want to do wee bit of spelling, grammar and punctuation check yourself...
Have a nice day
I have SOooOoO much to say about this seatbelt chime topic!!! I drive a 2019 Tahoe, and I love it, but GM always finds a way to ruin a great vehicle. I had 3 Camaros, {well, 3 just in recent history, I wont count lifetime) a 2010, '14 and '17. All were RUINED by that G#&&^@-Blasted 1-4 Shift. It was a product of the psychotic. The '14 a friend managed to bypass with a fix, and oh it was wonderful. I was preparing to fix my '17 but switched to the Tahoe's. OK, And I see GM found a way to destroy the possibility of a harmonious relationship with this auto as well. (gawd, what a mind f****). OK, I think it is idiotic to assume that people that want to disable this are social-loafing inbreeds. For example, IT'S A TRUCK!, HELLO! Think of how many people work and need to move their truck 5 yards every 15 minutes. Imagine working a fence line and having to click and unclick your *&@(&*!@& seatbelt every freaking time.. INSANE. Also, what if I am just pulling up in the driveway, or backing it out of the garage, what if I want to start the truck and manage the interior space with all the given stuff for a particular trip. I want to put my seatbelt on when I'm driving off, not immediately when I enter the vehicle, like a child or invalid. And let me tell you this, the chime HURTS MY F(*(*@*&( EARS!!!! Its too G(*(*#@M loud. I have sensitive hearing and I constantly have migraine headaches triggered by this POS, and at the very least, highly disturbed ears and brain. It SERIOUSLY hurts, and you may be able to tell from my post that I [was] not happy about it. It got so serious, that I was ready to sell the truck, and I love this truck otherwise, and my wife has a matching truck, so I REALLY did not want to. There is NO FIX for this year model, go ahead and look around. But tonight I found my own fix, for real! If anyone gives a rats ***, they will have to wait cuz I am making a video on how to do it. I AM SO PSYCHED RIGHT NOW I STAND VICTORIOUS!! There is a boring drill machine in Norway that is capable of drilling to the greatest depths man has reached so far toward the center of the earth. If we had access to that drill, you still would not be able to come close to the DEPTH OF HATRED I had for this #(*(@))@ ding.. I fantasized about making the sons of ditches who brought this to market listen to this rancid ding over and over all day and night long. I mean, geeez, you open the door, it dings, you close the door, it dings, you put the key in, it dings, you take the key out it dings, you put it in gear, it dings, you put it in park, it dings, you touch the steering wheel, it dings. OK, so maybe a little exaggeration, but that's literally the way it feels to me. And what is the point? I mean after so many dings for so many things, it's just totally meaningless, so why? ; The reason they have incorporated, what can only legitimately be described as corporal punishment, is to increase their safety rating (at an insane cost, not measured), so they do not care how destructive or asinine their system is. it's not to efficiently remind their customers to buckle up, it's to threaten their customer's central nervous system to the point it fears hearing and being subjected to the installed punishment. Well SNAP! GM-jerk-wads! I will drive your product to oblivion (or until my cybertruck is delivered, whichever comes first) and NO LONGER will I be subject to your cruel, psychotic corporal punishment. WHOOOOO!!!!
ADDENDUM:
I could have easily bucked the seatbelt behind the seat, but I want to wear it far to frequently to do this. That's why I was ready to sell, because I wasn't ready to give up my seatbelt, but I'm sure some people have had to do just that. I am quite positive some people have been forced to 'back-buckle' their seatbelt to stave off insanity, and have ultimately died by not being able to access their seatbelt due to the configuration they have been forced to create, when otherwise they would have been wearing it. Who's counting the people GM is killing by forcing them to do this? I guarantee it's happened more than once. That's how truly asinine this non-controllable "seatbelt chime" is. It's BS they can just call it a seat chime, it's a WEAPON against human sanity.
