Default Should I buy this Suburban?

I've been looking for a Suburban/ Yukon XL for a while here in NY and it's hard to find one that I can afford that is also decent condition/mileage. Someone offered me an '04 Suburban with 60,000 miles for $10,000 and it seems his price is pretty firm. This is definitely not a "steal," but it seems like a reasonably fair price according to KBB. On the other hand, ten grand for an eleven year old truck seems like a lot of money to me, despite the low mileage. Obviously it all depends on seeing the vehicle, history, tires, etc,. but I just want some opinions on whether you out there would consider something like this. It really is a bit more than I'm looking to spend, but it's either this or save a few thousand to get one with 160k on it on craigs list...which I'm not too into doing. Thanks for the thoughts!!

If it is a 2500 with the 8.1, I might consider it. Otherwise, I'd pass.

60k is frighteningly low mileage. Would make we wonder about how the fluids were maintained on a vehicle that sat so much.

Thanks! It is a 1500. The impression that I have is it was driven pretty regularly, but only for local driving. I'll know much more if I actually look at/drive the vehicle but I'm wondering if I should even consider it

If it's in really good condition I don't think the price is out of line. I spent months looking for a Tahoe/Yukon in the $10k price range and was surprised at some of the crap people were asking that much for.

I finally bought an '03 Yukon Denali with 100k on the clock. It was a one owner in great condition and with complete service records. I paid $9500 and felt I got a good deal on it.

At least in my area (central PA), Suburbans, Tahoes, Yukons and Yukon XL's seem to hold their value quite well.

Thanks, all this is food for thought. Yes, in NY also they retain their value very well (too well) :-)
