Side View mirrow shadows

Side View mirrow shadows
Hello all, I just bought a 2009 Suburban 2500 and noticed that the side view mirrors have what I can only describe as shadows appearing through. I initially thought that it was water marks on the mirrors that needed to be cleaned off but after looking closer, it's not on the surface but in the mirror. Any idea what this is and if it can be "cleaned"? thanks!

That's usually a deal with or replace issue.
A good Mirror Shop should be able to cut a new Mirror for you, then just break the old glass out, and glue in the new. You might be able to buy an OEM from a Dealer but...$$$
