Just discovered a trick I like for changing spark plugs. I may receive a 'Duh!' from some of you, but for those that have not had the epiphany, ...
Try laying a chushy dog bed on top of the engine and laying across that while changing the plugs. It made it WAY easier for me.
Also, there is a heat shield across from plugs 8 and 6 (passenger side near firewall). File the corner of that, and/or bend it away from where your hand will be.
