I recently replaced my oil pan gasket cause my 04 suburban’s 5.3 was leaking oil. I got everything replaced but on my last run tightening the bolts one of them popped. The bolt itself is fine so I’m guessing the threads are shot, how hard is it gonna be to install a heli coil? It wasn’t either of the long bolts.

If it's 6.0mm x 1.0mm thread, I'd go to Ace Hardware and buy a couple 7.0mm x 1.0mm bolts, and one of those could simply screw in readily, and hold tight. I like the inexpensive 1/4" drive inch-lb torque wrench from Harbor Freight for such tightening.

OK, if the 7.0mm x 1.0mm bolt does not fix this, I'd simply go the next size up, tap to that size, and use appropriate bolt, and avoid a helicoil.
1/4" thread is barely larger than 6.0mm, don't think that would work. 8mm threads are 8.0mm x 1.25mm, and if you tap to that, such bolts use a 12mm socket if JIS (Japanese) bolt is used or 13mm socket if US or European bolt is used.
