suburban 99 with faulty abs brake
Hello guys, my name is Paulo, I'm from Brazil. I have a 1999 Chevrolet suburban v8 350. This car is not common here, and unfortunately, we don't have much access to good mechanics. Since I bought the car, 1 year ago, the brakes have always been bad, I replaced pads, linings, drums, fluids and even so, the brakes are still bad. The problem is that, when the car is at a very low speed, 5mhp, for example, just by touching the brake pedal, the car brakes abruptly, literally locking the front wheels. At an average speed of 25mph, if I brake hard, the front wheels drag on the asphalt. If the abs were ok, this shouldn't happen, I think. Anyway, I got another used abs module and installed it, but the problem persists. Is there something else I'm not checking? What is your suggestion to fix this once and for all? I'm even thinking about eliminating my abs...
