Suburban got wrecked but saved my wife
Hello all new here. We "had" an 2005 Suburban for about 5 years now, loved it! Great family vehicle1 The wife was coming home from a friends house when someone ran a red light and t-boned our Suburban sending it through the traffic light pole and into another car. The other driver was charged . The wife sure is sore and off work for a few weeks I would guess but I'm SO thankful I insisted on the biggest tank I could find for our main family vehicle.

So needless to say it's been a horrible week. Staying home helping the wife out, and having to deal with the insurance company.
I finally got what I considered what was fair. The stressful part besides the wife's health issues was having to find a replacement quick as the insurance company would only pay for just over a week for a rental car. So I was forced to buy a high mileage 2007 LT.(175000KM) I love the looks of the new body style and interior
But had to settle with what I could find on such short notice. ( 1 week) and with what I had to spend. I didn't want any payments! It has a few issues one being a few paint touch ups the sunroof won't retract very far, and the rear trim part on the liftgate was falling off ( clips were broken?) All of these the seller is fixing , it's in the body shop now, so I don't quite have it yet. Pick it up next week.
One thing that the seller wouldn't fix is one of the rear backup sensors was scratched/bruised. Is that a tough job to replace? I intend on doing it myself. The other thing I'd REALLY like to add if it is not too expensive is a rear camera? It's equipped with NAV/DVD/onstar and from what I've read on hear I will need the camera and maybe a module that's under the passenger seat? Is that correct? Anything else I'll need? Is the wiring already in the liftgate? Will I need a different trim part on the liftgate?
Any help and part#, instructions, pictures, drawings etc... sure would help?
Thanks everyone!
Brad
