Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Suburban questions

I am in the market for a late model suburban. I have driven a couple so far and loved them both. But I have two questions that would greatly help me in my future purchase.
1. Is the AFM option on every trim package from 2009 and up?
2. Is it possible to replace the stock window switch with a switch that has auto up and down? I have this feature on my current car and use it every single time. I understand that they already have the auto down feature but the power up feature is just as nice. It lets me pull away from a drive thru or from my mail box with both hands on the wheel without having to wait until the window goes all the way up.

Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately the auto up feature, if available, would be controlled by the BCM, not the switch.

It's not offered as an option. AFM is on every half-ton Suburban, from 2007 and up.

The Suburban 2500, built from 2007-2013 does not have AFM.

Thanks guys.

I thought it was the switch because on the car I have there are 5 positions for the switch....one for auto down one for just down, one for auto up, and one for just up, plus the neutral position.
