All of a sudden at 10mph in 4WD it starts klunking and creeking and wow not just minor like cv joint or the like but o man this is serious. Pull r. side axel and look over the shift fork and the collar and gears all perfect, install new actuwaitor also. No change. I will disconnect front drive shaft and see if it makes the noises when I engauge 4x4 then. Any help what or why this happened? 1998 K1500 4x4 pushbutton trasfercase.120000 not been beat at all but EX TLC.
You aren't driving it in 4WD on dry pavement are you? That will do as you describe.
Are all tires aired up to proper pressure and equal pressures?
Are all tires the exact same size? Same wear? A tire wrong size will wreak havok on the 4WD system.
