Default Sway control without integrated brake controller

I just picked up our new 2022 Tahoe. It was built without max tow package due to chip shortages, so there is not an integrated brake controller. The dealer installed a curt spectrun in-dash brake controller. Will the Tahoe’s sway control feature apply trailer brakes if sway occurs the way it would have if it had a factory integrated brake controller?

Probably not since it controls trailer brakes only and it is not integrated into the trucks ABS and StabilTrak systems like the factory one.
