Default Tahoe 07 backup camera screen

How can you keep the nav scren dark when backup camera is used. Everytime I set brightness and contrast it never stays that way, screen is much too bright at night.

on the left is a **** to turn down the brightness of the entire console. It is a round **** that you push and pops out then you turn to reduce or increase brightness

Thanks for the answer, but I do not have the **** you suggest. The unit I have is from Denso Corp.and has a on-off **** and a tune ****, everything else is hard or soft keys. When in back-up mode I hit menu hard key, then touch the screen for brightness control, but does not stay this way. When in Nav mode or radio mode I can put on night mode and that stays on night (dark screen)but not when in back-up mode

DarkOne means the **** on the far left of the dashboard, near your driver's door, that turns down the intensity of your gauges, speedometer, etc. This also controls the radio's brightness. It's not on th actual radio.

Thanks, Just tried the dimmer for guages like you mentioned but that does not dim the screen when in back-up mode. This screen is so bight at night that I actually have to discontinue use of camera till daytime and this is annoying, asthe camerawould help a great deal at night..
