Tahoe taking longer than usual to turn over
Hello I have a 2001 Tahoe 5.3 with 107,000 miles and recently it has been taking longer than usual to turn over. Sometimes I have to try a second time, but it always starts and runs just fine. It seems to happen after its been sitting for a while like after work or in the morning. Seems like its always super hot outside when It happens.... any ideas?
I suggested the fuel pressure as something to check, with 107k miles the requlator could be getting worn or the fuel pump getting weak. If you have never changed the fuel filter that would be a good idea too.
Try running acouple ofbottles of injector cleaner thru the tank when its about half full see if that improves starting, I did that on my 97 5.7 and that is how I found out that the injectors were pretty gunked up, I replaced my injectors and popets but you could haveyoursserviced.
Keep up with the questions and symtoms as that helps us help you...
