Default Tahoe traction control

I have a 2004 Tahoe LT 5.3L. It has travelled 152,000 miles and because of dedicated service runs like new. EXCEPT now under light to moderate acceleration from a standing start, as the tranny shifts from 1 to 2 the "traction control active" message comes on with attendant slowing of the engine. But there is no wheel slippage to cause this. Any thoughts??

I had the same problem with my 2007. What I found was bad input from front wheel speed sensors. What I did was remove them clean rust off from mounting surface and re-install. From what I could tell was the slight rust build up moved the sensor far enough away from ring so that it couldn't get a reading. I struggled with this for a long time before I figured it out. hope this helps
