i just purchased a 2001 tahoe xl last week. I already have paid 750.00 to fix the brake module because of the abs light. I had it for only a couple of days before i took it to the shop. first thing they tried was just cleaning the ground wire. after they did that, i drove it back and so as i put it in park, it shut off. I thought i was going crazy. i took it back today and they put a new abs brake module in. I drove it back and as soon as i put it in park, it shut off.....i'm confused. Is there a problem with it or do you think the shop might have done something? it doesnt shut off everytime. I called the local chevy dealer to see if there was any open recall and he said everything was already done.

 

Welcome to the forum. I have never heard of a tahoe xl. I would take it back where you had the repair done.
