We have a 2023 Tahoe. It alerts me when I get a text. But it wont read them. It says that feature needs a subscription. My husbands 2019 Ford truck reads them but my brand new expensive Tahoe wont? Am I doing something wrong? Or do I really need to pay for this?

That is odd there might be a feature on the screen and phone permissions somewhere because my 2023 suburban will pop up messages on the screen and I manually play them by tapping on the screen messages

 

I cant seem to find one on either. Its frustrating. Idk if its because I have an android phone or not? Idk

 

Any update? My 2024 suburban is saying I need a data plan to play text messages... Ridiculous for such a simple feature now a days.
