Default Tires Skip when i turn sharp on 02 tahoe

When I turn the wheel sharp either direction the tires skip like it's in 4wd but its not, I brought it into the dealership where I just bought it and they put it up on the lift and said nothing is sticking or catching, is this a common problem with the 02 Tahoe and if not any possible ideas on what it might be? Thank You!

might want to have an alignment check. If the suspension components are all tight, you could have a toe issue.

Secondly, while an alignment is being done have them check toe out on turns or Ackerman's angle. This angle is designed into the steering knuckles and cannot be adjusted. If toe out on turns is out of spec. the knuckles are probably bent.

typically the front tires scrub during tight turns when Ackerman's angle is out of spec.

Is there a reason for this problem besides bent knuckles. I took my truck to three mechanics and none of them have a solution.

if your issue is the front tires scrubbing when the steering is turned to the stops; have the alignment checked.

if your referring to axle bind-up during tight turns in 4wd; that is a normal condition.

I had it computer aligned to factory specs. Its like it was set up for reverse ackerman. It toes in at full turn, both left and right. Im wondering if the pro comp lift kit has something to do with this.

post the alignment printout that you have.

have them check and measure toot with the alignment machine. you can have them measure ackermans angle and plot toe change as it sweeps stop to stop.
