That's actually a good idea addkev, I never thought of that approach. We have extra wheels all over the place from other pet projects so we won'thave to mess up the spare. Thanks!!

Patrykkoul - thanks for the info regarding the DIC.

AZSCTACO - mounting strap is a new one for me. Is it a metal band that resides around the entire inside of the wheel? Do these mounting straps work with OEM sensorsor do they come with their ownsensors?

charlie pachanga - rims are too thick and the valve stem hole is only 7/16".
Yep....they kind of look like a giant hose clamp. It's a viable option and does not affect balancing at all. They are usuallu called clamps or bands. Google "TPMS mounting bands" and you should find some options. They are usually 5-10 bucks a piece. Mustang owners have huge issues with using the factory TPMS with aftermarket wheels and this is the option they go with. Good luck.

I have tire pressure sensors that will work on all GM lan bus vehicles. 07 up tahoe, suburban, silverado, monte carlo etc. They are metal valve stem and chrome caps. Any one interested email me a I will give you pricing on a set of 4.

Ruined several TPMS trying to adjust to new Budniks. Finally took Addkev's approach and put all four of the TPMS in a different rim. Manually re-learned the sensors and do not have the yellow DIC light. These wheels will come off during the winter so no big loss of sleep of not actually having TPMS during the summer.

mary, are the budniks that you bought billet wheels? and if they are you can just drill the hole to fit the sensor.

They are billets but drilling a bigger hole would not solve the issue. The rim is too thick for securing the valve stem. The ridge on the valve stem will be inside the rim as opposed to sitting outside of the rim surface where it is supposed to be.

Here is answer to mount TPMS censor mount on AFTERmarket wheels.
Don't strap metal clamp inside of rim and don't make other hole to hold TPMS.
It won't be correctly read. But this will perfectly work.
Made by Iforged bracket and sold at www.themodcity.com $75.00 with shipped.

I have same one sale on ebay. Check this out.
