Angry Tranny Question- 4l60e

Quick question and would surely appreciate quick, serious replies. New to the forum so bare with me.

Beginning on the 4th, my auto tranny in my '94 Burban began not wanting to shift from first to second. Once i let it whine out and let off, it will go ahead and shift, then no problems, Only between first and second. I noticed the speedometer going a little squirly a few days ago, but it still works.

While talking to a few people about it, they mentioned it was probably the speed sensor. Any thoughts? The fluid level is fine and the tranny was replaced about a year and a half ago..... please let me know if you need any more info.

The fact that the speedometer is acting funny it is a good possibility that the vss (vehicle speed sensor) is the problem. And until it is tested or replaced it can not be eliminated as the cause.
