Transmission shift issue - 2007 Tahoe
Hey all, so today a new issue came up with my 2007 Tahoe, 5.3l, 4wd, has 330k miles.
Transmission is all original, this is the first issue I have ever had. So the trans shifts 1-2 just fine. The 2-3 shift however is where the issue starts, during 2nd gear acceleration, when RPM’s get to about 2500-2700 they just quickly rev to past 4000, then I left off the gas bc I feel it’ll go to redline if I don’t, then the rpm’s drop. During this rpm drop the 2-3 gear shift happens, but its a long drawn out shift. Then car accelerates while in 3rd gear but wont shift out of third. At least I havent tried to make it shift out of 3rd, bc the rpms are around 3000+.
I’m hoping its something not to expensive to repair. But if the trans needs replacing I won’t be too upset, I got 17 years and 330k miles out of it.
But any insight is appreciated. Thanks
Video is too large to upload, will try to edit it when I get home.
