Transmission troubles?
Hello,
I've got an 04 Tahoe.
So, I have all 4 gears and the truck shifts into all 4 gears, but 1st to 2nd, and sometimes 3rd is hard as hell. I've gotten into the habit of just slipping it into gear by letting off the gas right before or just giving it the beans(it doesn't knock when doing this).
I don't have any codes for limp mode or anything, but I will also mention that the truck, with the gas pedal to the floor, will NOT go above 2000rpm. Though it will reach 99mph & hold there just fine.
Hopefully not the TC? Transmission fluid is bright pink, changed 30,000 miles ago & there's no shavings from what I can tell. Don't smell any burning, truck doesn't overheat or anything.
Just sluggish & very harsh knock when letting it shift like normal.
Any ideas?
