I was wondering if anyone had some thoughts/advice on the following:
I wanted to purchase some PIAA Sports horns (basically Plug & Play exchange), it seems the horns are behind the Headlights. I know taking the headlights out is not a simple task. I called Chevrolet Dealer and was told 2 hours at $95.00 per hour. The horns are only $40.00.
I would like to do this, but would like to find a less expensive way....

You should do like my brother did on his Silverado HD and put some train horns on the Tahoe. He installed them in the spare tire space, man talk about loud. It's like Amtrak is behind you

I agree. My friggin horns are way to quiet for such a big truck. I haven't put my emergency lights and siren/air horn yet, I'm waiting for the summer, but I'm glad to hear there isn't a quick fix for this yet. Has anyone replaced their horns yet?

To remove the headlamps:
1. Remove the 2forward screws(1).
2. Remove the 2wheelhouse to washer container pushpins (LH only).
3. Open the hood.
4. Remove the 6upper fascia/grille bolts all the way to latch.
5. Remove the lower rear fascia bolt from the support bracket.
6. Loosen the 2fascia to fender bolts from the bottom of fascia.
7. Pull the outboard end of the front fascia straight outboard until it disengages from the fender attachment bracket.
8. Pull the fascia forward and downward to allow enough clearance to remove the headlamp assembly.
9. Remove the cross-car lower outboard headlamp attachment bolt.
10. Remove the 2remaining upper headlamp attachment bolts.
11. Loosen the cross-car lower outboard headlamps attachment bolts.
12. Grasp the headlamp at the upper inboard and lower outboard corners and pull the lamp straight forward until it disengages from
the snap feature.
13. Pull the outboard side of the headlamp forward until the locating pins disengage from the fender.

Seriously though, they make people jump which might be funny, but can actually cause an accident rather than avoid one.
