STSqrl: You didn't have to get the Sun, Entertainment, etc package to get Nav. Most dealers get it that way as most want the sunroof.

SabrToothSqrl - That's what I did. I went ahead and took delivery of the vehicle and the dealership put in an order for the 2010 nav unit. When it arrives I will have it installed for free and I negotiated a free rental during that time while my Tahoe is in the shop (I should have asked for more given the headache this has caused).

mirage00 - Thanks for the picture. Unfortunately my schematic-reading skills are sub-par. Does the diagram prove that the 2009 nav units are no different than the 2010 nav units? Or does it prove that the 2010 nav units should be able to accept the standard GM rear-view camera? Thanks.

To me, it shows that it accepts a standard camera signal exactly the way the 2009 unit does. It will work. Ask them for proof that its NOT compatible.

I was just going by what's available on the web site.

Are you saying when i 'spec' out my tahoe on the web site and at the dealer there are really 2 options lists?

like the web site doesn't allow you have the 6.2L AND electric brake control... but the dealer does?

I hate $hitty web sites... and GM's is lamer than... well, almost any one I can think of off hand... if you want to sell to my generation, your web site must be informative, clean, up to date, and have 100% accurate info. I was on GMs web site for HOURS before I EVER stepped foot in a show room...

Yes.

What I'm trying to do is see what makes the DVD player shut down when the truck go's into drive and why you can't input destination into the navigation while driving.

I'm hoping that its not an software issue and that there is a wire that is telling the unit what to do.

The dealer's Autobook website is gospel. I just tried to build mine on the website and couldn't add the side blind zone alert option. I agree that the website is less than stellar.
