Default c4 diagram

I still can't find a diagram of the C4 connector.

It's brown, correct?

a diagram w/pins labeled would be great, I'd really like to try this mod...

i followed the PDF and used the exact same switch that is shown in the original post from mirage. i can confirm it DOES work. took about 30 mins to take the deck out, splice in and run a wire to the switch. got in the truck and got on the freeway. flipped the switch to OFF (interrupts the VSS) and all options become available. enter your address, POI, etc, hit GO and flip the switch back to ON, you're good to go.

Here's the catch. Navigation (civilian) works in two ways. Satellite updates, and VSS. you get a satellite update which locates you precisely once every 5-10 seconds. between those updates, your VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR ( VSS ) updates your location based on your speed and based on the last satellite update. make sense??

so you get an update from the satellite, flip the switch, everything comes available... only until the next satellite update 10 seconds later, which is plenty of time to enter an address.. but then it blues out again and is not available. SOLUTION- turn the VSS switch back to ON for 5 seconds (until the next update) and flip it off again.. everything comes available again.

SO--- yes it works, yes its very convenient to have, yes i love you mirage, yes i will bare your children, yes you have to flip the switch a few times to enter a long address, or search for a POI a few times, etc. but it works and it cost me $3.24!

Use your Navigation while moving for a total cost of $3.24! scroo lockpick.
i also have a solution for video while moving, which i am working on right now. ill post when i finish, and ill have photos.

Default Yes

I used the lock pick wiring so I wouldn't have to splice anything factory... with the exact same results... which made me take it out... it was too much a pita to keep flipping the switch thing...

what we need is a firmware hack...

sabr you have the lockpick? I thought I read that there was still a hoop you had to jump through to use all of the functions while moving...maybe not? I mean does everything function just like you are stopped or is there a time limit on how long all functions are available?

Default No.

I do not have the lock pick, I bought the wiring harness from a dealer to do the vss switch setup, then removed the whole thing when it didn't work as well as planned...

I see, so it sounds like $5.00 but kind of a pain to use or $200 and very easy...my TL has full use while driving and it is very handy
