VSS bypass switch?
I was wondering if one could put a switch on the VSS wire so that I could flip it off while at speed in order to be able to input NAV data without having to stop? If I do, then flip the switch back on, how long would it take for everything to begin working normally?
I realize that, but dont want to spend the money for a lockpick because I really dont use the Nav all that much, but a cheap little switch would allow me to use it on the road in the few instances that a passenger could enter data while driving.
Anyone know how long it would take for all the Nav stuff to go back to normal if I "switched" the VSS wire off and then back on?
Thanks
Bill

Light will stay on for a while or next key cycle and then the problem will be stored in memory for a while but poses no other problem for you.
Judging from your concern my advice is don't monkey with it, get the Lock Pick.
