I understand that but some dealers are using another book. Gaines I think it's called. I was hoping for a more realistic price. What someone here might pay. Btw. This is not a for sale ad.

Dealers are going to quote you wholesale.

Check places like Auto Trader, Cars.com, etc.

well it depends on where your "here" is... here in hicksville, you got low miles going for you, I'd say if you held out you might get somewhere in the low 8k range, I know I could still pull mid 4k out of my sub with 160k which is considered low mileage around here, so with yours not even at 100k that tends (around here anyway) to bring a couple grand more.

just hard to say, I scope craigslist and see what they are put up for and what they eventually go for...

It is worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it.

I'll give you $10.00.

Usually these questions are difficult to answer to the sellers satisfaction. Its really dependant upon how patient and motivated you are to sell the thing. I'm a new member here because we recently purchased a loaded '03 Suburban with 160k miles for $5,500. But I wasn't a motivated buyer - we looked and looked, checked Craigslist daily for over a year just waiting for a good deal. In the mean time I saw many, many similar (and some times older) models listed in my same area for 9 to 10 grand. The people who sell at the upper ranges are patient and will wait for the right buyer, whereas the person I bought mine from had posted to craigslist the same day, was hard up for cash, and needed to sell right away to anyone with some cash.

i am just looking for ballpark opinions. if the majority said it was worth 12k vs 8k, that is something i would pay attention too. the mileage is the selling point on this truck. because its about half of the yearly avg use. my dealer said it was worth about 7k which means he will ask for 9 to 10 minimal. i guess i am looking to see what people would be willing to pay.
