What are the little speakers for by your head in the headliner? There is one in the front over the driver door by your head and one in the back on the same side..

Those aren't speakers... they are Inside Air Temperature Sensors for your HVAC system..

The rear one in our 2007 makes noise like a fan hitting something.... I want to know what's inside as well...

I have not had one opened up, but I suspect it is a fan and a sensor. Might try removing and inspecting.

Default sensor

I opened mine up and your right there is a small circut board and a fan and a little sensor. Not sure why it would make noise, the fan does not appear to when you spin it.. it appears to be fine..
Here is the part number below.. from GM Direct..
Its called an Aspirator and found under the HVAC section.

I'd be my guess that the fan bearings are worn/wearing out thus causing the sound you hear....might check your local dealer as they may match the GM parts direct price and it will save you the shipping.

Might try applying some lite oil to bearings and retry to see if that helps. I know it works on blower motors.

Haha. Well I don't know if you mean hvac blowers or boat blowers. But I have saved several boat blowers by cleaning them and using a few drips of mobile 1 into each end. Each one I have done it to shut up right away and stayed quiet.....
