Just wondering because it seems to me that the ones built in Texas have more issues than the ones built in Wisconsin. Is it my imagination? This is purely speculation on my part but I'm assuming the Tahoe's near Texas and in the south closer to Texas were most likely produced down there. I could be and probably am way off base.


Mine was built in Janesville WI and has had only 1 issue to date. Rear Hatch release needed replacement.

 

WI, 6,300 miles, 8 1/2 months, 2 oil changes with not one issue

 

mine is from janesville, wi as well born on 6/07.

 

I heard since mine had a 1 in it's VIN number it was American made. How do you tell...

Well I know if you open the driver door on a Janesville Wisconsin Tahoe, there is a sticker there that tells you. Not sure if Texas has something similar

Should be a sticker on the inside of the drivers door. '08 built in Wisconsin 7/30/07. 3400 mi no problems YET!

 

May 06, WI 14K mi One incident where the rear doors wouldn't lock with remote or inside lock button. Had to replace a module.

 

Mine was built in Texas. 22k miles, no issues what so ever except for a cracked windshield from a damn rock!

 

June 07 Wisconsin. Driver side mirror has changed. Rough idle. Rattling sound from dash driver side. Distortion in the windsheild. I do not mind any of the issues.
