I hope not, how can I tell if it's cracked, without taking it all apart ?
Since I redid the intake manifold gasket , I haven't had a chance to change the oil. By the way it's not milky. Could that be the problem?
There is only 78,000 miles on this suburban..

A compression check should tell you if you have a head gasket or cracked head problem. Water in the oil will show up as a grey, jelly like substance on the underneath side of the fill cap.

I just got a radiator presure kit. Do you know what PSI I should pump it up too. And how long should I leave it hooked up?

Well the radiator testing kit that I got from harbor freight does not fit on my burb. So I rented 1 from auto zone. I'll have to do the test on Tuesday . But I did look at my spark plugs and they have normal wear. But I broke a spark plug wire , so I ordered a set to replace them all.

I forgot I did a radiator flush today and when I started the burb to do the flush . It didn't smoke. It was about 72 deg today when I did it.

Thanks for the updates on your progress , keep them coming...
That is good to know about the HF pressure tester as I have seen that one and have kicked around the idea of getting one for the fun of it...

Tomorrow will be plugs and wires , cause I broke a wire the other any , and a oil change. Not sure if I'm going to be able to get to the valve seal.

I changed the wire and plugs on Christmas , and I have a miss. I was told at autozone the the gap of the plugs should be 3.5 . But I'm not sure if that's right. Does anyone know the proper gap for a 1993 chevy suburban k2500 7.4 454 engine? I was thinking it maybe 4.0 or 4.5!!
