Default RE: Wierd problem with turn signals and radio... 07 Tahoe

I started having these kind of problems on a monthly basiswhenmy GM lockpic was installed in my Tahoe. My blinkers worked but had no sound, (Not everytime, and usuallyI could turnTahoe off and back on and it would fix it for a while)then it was my nav would sometimes just power off, then I had all sorts of other electrical issues -"Lights on the dash warnings about his and that". I finally had to just get the darn thing out- andI have been free of problems since then (Its been about 4 months since I had it removed) If you have a lockpic (or whatever its called) you may find it is related.I know some people say they dont experience these issues with it, but I had mine installed for 9 months and for the first months it worked fine, but from then on is when I experienced electrical failures, and radio issues from then on, until was removed.

I've had this issue before with the turn signals and nav not working. I don't have and never have had the lockpick installed so the problems have to be with the nav unit itself. I am unable to reproduce the problem so of course the service department says they can't do anything about it. I have read that the nav unit has been upgraded, but as far as I know GM isn't doing anything about the early models of the nav unit.

Default 2000 Tahoe LT 4x4

Electrical Problems: My 2000 Tahoe has been doing this and I do not subscribe to On Star. The radio turns off. The time resets to 1:00. Sometimes the radio works fine and other times it shuts of every few seconds. The main door lock locks all of the doors, but the driver side. Have to slide it manually or use the remote to lock the drivers door. Now the power heated seat is on and won't turn off. The heat indicater light is not on, but the seat is on high and gets very warm. It seems to be on with the truck turned off and the key is removed. We have replaced the battery 3 times since this all started. Dealer has no clue what it is. Been fighting it for almost 2 years now. Have checked every fuse and every relay. In the beginning we thought the rear wiper was dragging down the battery so we I unhooked it and things we fine for about a year. Now every day something else starts acting whacky.
Pulled the fuse to get heated seat off.

you know I just had this stupid problem with my navigation unit, my wife was in the car listening to the radio with the engine off for who knows how long, when I got in the truck and tried to start it the battery was dead, when I jump started the truck the turn signal sound was gone and the navi screen was only showing "DELPHI" like it always does at the beginning but this was permanent, so I press the power button and the radio turned off, so ok press power again and it will power on, but nothing!!! after a few minutes the sound for the turn signals came back but the radio only makes a static noise when i try to turn it on but nothing, any one found a solution yet? I will keep on searching and see if I find what the problem is.
my head unit didn't come with the truck, I installed ti myself, but everything was working fine, I even had my battery run down a couple of times before but no problems whatsoever!!
The back up camera still works fine, I can see the image in the navi unit when the truck is in reverse!! the battery is about 3+ years old, is the one that came with the truck so I will check it and check all the fuses and see if I can find something

Might check to see if the battery rundown software upgrade was ever performed.

My '07 on two separate occasions didn't have any sounds but they came back the next day. Everything worked tho, just no sounds.

Thank you shark
So that battery rundown software upgrade is a recall or something?
'cause as far as I know that has not been performed on my truck yet, since I bought it brand new, I guess I will call the dealer and find out about it
You know this morning I tried to turn the radio on and same thing, it only worked for like 2 seconds, but this time I changed the station before it turned off and I was able to hear the music from some radio station, but the screen remained black and I can only see the clock, I'm wondering if there is a fuse inside the radio or something, I will mess with it till this weekend, I'm kind of busy right now.

The battery rundown software update was usually just done when you took it in for something else or if you complained about the battery running down.

Default software update check?

Try plugging your VIN into here, I believe this is a history of software updates that your vehicle has had (thou I am not totally sure) It looks to be updates done not just available....
