Default Won't take gas

I have a 2005 tahoe 5.3l 4wd.I just replaced the sending unit and pump.Now i have a purge control code thru the evap system.My question is will this make it not take gas,i pull up to the pump pull the handle and gas spits rite back out thanks for any help with this.

My friend had this issue. When they secured the tank after pump install they kinked the tubes. They dropped tank and corrected , all is well.

I had the problem even before i changed the pump.The lines on the sending unit were rusted and leaking .I thought for sure that would solve it

May be the evap. solenoid.

just bought a new one gonna try it tommorrow.Thanks for all the help this one has me scratching my head.
