Woodgrain -vs- Brushed Aluminum
Long lived debate and all.................. I have wanted to replace my woodgrain dash and door trim since the day I purchased my Tahoe. Been looking around for all types. Recall reading on this board about the LS trim and part numbers so been saving my nickles and dimes (more like $10 & $20's). So I'm riding in a Cadillac ESV (fake Suburban)the other day. Has both brushed trim and woodgrain. Looks OK, still dont like the wood...... I commented how I like and prefer the brushed aluminum. The driver says, you just think that. Hang on a minute and I will turn south. Sure enough he turns south and TADAH! I'm blinded by the reflection of the brushed trim. OK, OK , long story but here is my question....
Any of you LS owners with brushed dash trim get sun reflection? The Caddy dash is different and I think they reflect because the trim is on a different angle. Interested in anyones input that has replaced their wood with aluminum or painted trim.

I have a LTZ with the wood trim and wanting to swap it to the brush aluminum. The dealer was going to swap it out for me, but the catch was I would have to give up the center piece console where thedrinkholders are. Therewasnt a brush aluminum trimfor that, soI just decided tostick to the wood trim. Does anyone know if there is a brush aluminum trim for the drink holder?
I had the dealer swap the woodgrain for the brushed aluminum. I havent had any issues with glare. The woodgrain actually has a "glossier" finish than the aluminum. It doesnt seem as if the aluminum has a "coating" which seems to help reduce any glare that might occur. If you want pics, let me know, I will get some taken and posted.
