Default 2003 Tahoe Driver Seat - Won't Go All Way Forward

Hi. I Just bought a used 2003 Tahoe LT. The passenger front seat when i use the electric trigger will go all the way forward.

But the drivers side seat will only move forward some. I think it's a problem because i can see the blank tracks in the front still, like it has alot of more space to go forward. I know my wife won't drive this unless this seat moves more forward.

Has anyone had this problem or explain to me what i can do to try to find the problem and fix it ?

Thank you.

lbi2000 & mtj@g.clemson.edu,

This issue may be a software issue. The driver seat module may need to have the software updated.

I encourage you to consult with a certified technician.

I have the same problem. Do I need to update the SW? Did this work for you or anyone else?

03Tahoe Welcome to the forum...
Is this something that just started happening or has always been that way...
if it has worked in the past, its not as likely to be software but a mechanical issue...
you may want to check for any obstructions preventing the seat from moving as well as check the button....

When our 05 seats act up the mechanic does a software fix and all is good. Same with seat heaters.
