The access seat for the third row will not slide forward. When I pull the latch behind the seat, the seat back will release but the seat will not slide forward allowing for access to the third row.

 

what year is ur suburban / tahoe? if it is the body style like the 2002's, then u have to pull the lever on the seat to raise the bottom part forward, then press tat side latch to drop the back of the seat, then u'll have access.

i tink this is the standard procedure for most suburbans n tahoes. i could be wrong.

 

This is a 2004 Suburban. I am not trying to fold the seat down. The whole seat slides forward to allow access to the third row. There is a lever on the back of the seat that releases the "seat back" forward and the whole seat slides forward.

 

i dunno if mine does tat, although i could have sworn it may do something like tat too.

 

normally, i fold down to get access. mine is a split bench on the 2nd row, like a 60/40.

 

My 2004 Tahoe w/ 60/40 bench just has the tumble & fold on both sections. No provision to slide the jump seat forward.

Must be a 'burb only feature.
