Welcome to the forum. One possibility is an insufficient fuel pressure. Turn the key on, listen for the fuel pump prime for couple seconds, turn the key off for ~10 seconds, repeat the on-listen-off couple more times before cranking. If that works better, either the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator is bleeding down the pressure. Take it in for service before it strands you.

Chemicals aren't very good at fixing mechanical problems.

terpsmandan,

I have researched your vehicle; however, there are no known starting issues on 2005 Suburban vehicles. I encourage you to take the vehicle in for an inspection. A certified technician will be able to offer a diagnosis and repair option(s).

Please keep us posted.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

welcome to the forum! as Einst said, I would try on-listen-off as well. never fun when your fuel pump goes out in the middle of nowhere. I do have a couple of questions: How long has it been doing this? Has this been getting progressively worse?

good luck!
