Thanks OUSIG2408 for the service information. Our Tahoe had the same problem and at first they lubricated the Yoke but problem was still there however less of a clunk. I took the bullitin number to my dealership and they ordered the part and installed last Fri. We took the Tahoe to Cabazon, Outlet stores, and it was as smooth as can be!!!
I'm very happy now and the Tahoe ran great. 160 miles round trip with no clunks, noises of any kind.

great stuff, glad it worked out for you. we just put 500 miles on the Tahoe last weekend at like you say it was nice to have a quiet smooth ride.

Thanks for the info guys, was wondering if anyone here was experiencing a hard thunk when first backing up after the vehicle sat for an exteneded period of time like overnight. Mine bangs hard (not everytime) but it sure is un-nevering when it does.

I have 30k on my 07 LTZ, when did your clunking show up?
