I tell you this. I worked on 07 vehicles, before you even test drove one. Before they were even available for sale, I 've been preloading those cameras in the vehicles.
I just found this forum resently, and did not read all threads yet.
so instead of be a hater, just try to be nice to a new members

K im curious about something...My 2007 Tahoe came with factory installed nav but no back up camera. when i put the truck in reverse the screen on the nav doesnt change. Now on my 2007 Avalanche I just installed myself the factory nav unit and when I shift into reverse the screen goes black and says check my surroundings....like it sees a camera is connected. Why is this? Does this mean I can plug the OEM cam into my avalanche nav without having to order this aditonal wiring? both vehciles have the rear dvd oem system too if that matters. Thanks.

bummer, is that all it is. I was all stoked thinking my avalanche was set up for the cam. So has anyone figured out if there is a plug and play kit for these nav units without spending a few hundred for the oem wiring, relays and cam? I cant see spending 500+ on a back up cam set up BUT my avalanche is lifted 10" so I cant see anything behind me!
