Rear Wiper on 2003 Suburban
First let me say I'm new to this forum and to Suburbans. I love the Suburban and find this forum very helpful. So I apologize in advance if this has been answered before, but I can't find it.
The issues are these. First, the wiper simply won't work when turned on. but when I pop the glass "Flip hatch" the wiper will occasionally cycle. I've tried slamming it to ensure it was closed, no dice. Not sure what to do.
Second, when I press the real washer for the wiper, the fluid seems to be pouring out over the front driver side tire, perhaps slightly forward of that. So, I don't believe they are related but if you have any ideas I'd be very grateful.

Welcome to the forum.
I'd say the wiper problem is most likely either a bad connection (12VDC or ground).
The washer sounds like a split hose near the wheel. Not sure where they run the hose but probably down the frame rail. Have someone activate the washer while you observe from underneath.

I'd certainly agree with the connections being a possible problem. With the door being opened and closed no doubt many times, broken wires are also a possibility.
Just as a Test, you can use a Jumper from the Frame to a exposed metal part of the Door, just to check the Ground. If it's bad, the hinges aren't all that reliable to make that connection. That would at least eliminate/confirm one of the wires.
