just installed rebuilt vortec 350 in my 96 Tahoe 2wd. Starts fine but runs bad. It comes up with P0300 for a code(misfire). Found 2 plug wires crossed up and a vaccum hose off. Runs better, but it still runs crapy. It runs a little rich and once it warms up, it idles poorly and when you give some throttle, it wants to stall. I have replaced the old fuel injection with the upgraded gm kit. I have not replaced the EGR yet, could this be the problem? I also know that it will not run correctly with the new cam and the computer will need a reflash. Could this just be the problem?
The passenger side valve cover leaks, is there an easy fix for this also?
