Tracker1989-2004
This compact SUV proved itself to be a fine ecnomical vehicle, good for making its way along any type of surface. Platform: CAMI (Suzuki)
I just pulled up behind the shop and shut my Tracker off. It decided that it would not turn over with the key any longer. I have checked all the connections and grounds. The battery and starter both checked good. There's no current going to the solenoid when the ignition is in the start mode. I hear a slight click behind the glove box. There is no current going through the firewall to the solenoid (black wire w/ yellow tracer). I feel like the click is the pcm... Please help!!
. *the engine starts and runs with a remote wire to the solenoid and the original wire unplugged.
This is the wiring diagram for my 2001 V6 automatic:
If I were having this problem I would unplug the connector at the transmission range switch and check continutity in both directions. That should give you some idea where the problem is.
