Default Air Filter Housing Retaining Clips (Solved)

New to me, as of today, a 2002 Tracker ZR2 4d 2.5L. I'm in need of air box clips and almost an hour of searching has netted zero positive results. Is there a source for these?

Thanks in advance.

probably because you'd have to buy the whole housing.

For little bits like this, I suggest going to the boneyard. I bet they used the same clips on multiple models.

The clips are not called out individually. You'd have to get the whole air box assembly.

But they are pricey even on the used market.

Yeah, they’re easy to come by from the junkyard. Tracker and Grand Vitara use the same clips.
If you can’t find any, let me know.
i have a couple of spares…just because.

Okay... Upon closer inspection, I see that it is not just that the clip is missing. It is that the hinge part of the housing that the clip swivels on has been broken and is missing. A new clip won't solve my problem.

I do have an idea about how to adapt something that will work. I will fiddle with it and report back.

Thank you all.
