Has anybody encountered this issue? When I place the shifter in "L" the starter engages and the engine will start,but only if the key is on. I thought that maybe I had a faulty neutral safety switch so I replaced it but still have the issue.Electrical diagram shows wire go from neutral switch directly to pcm. 2003 tracker with 2.0l 4x4 automatic.

 

does it occur with the engine running also? cranks while running?
