This compact SUV proved itself to be a fine ecnomical vehicle, good for making its way along any type of surface. Platform: CAMI (Suzuki)
Upon further review, I may have misled the original poster to identify his engine as a J20 (2.0L) inline four-cylinder.
His report of success included the phrase "we replaced the ... crank sensor at the top [of the engine]....
I could not make sense of this until I realized he most likely has the G16 (1.6L) inline four-cylinder engine.
The camshaft position (CMP) sensors are different for all three engines sizes. The H25 and J20 sensors are adjustable.
The G16 sensor is not. It's held in place by a single 10mm bolt and is easier to change than a spark plug. I'm still
hoping toddmc will verify this with either a photo or part number. (A note of caution: some online auto parts sellers
-- including RockAuto-- were showing the G16 CMP suitable for the J20 engine. I'm pretty sure that is wrong.)
