2002 Traiblazer DTC P1221, P1271,p1484,p1484
Hello, I was hoping someone could help me with some codes coming up on my reader. I have the service engine soon light at steady on and every once in a while I get reduced engine speed light. The codes read p1221,p1271,p1484,p1484. I noticed someone had similar codes and it ended up being fan clutch wiring harness and was wondering if the same was going on here as well. Thanks for the highly appreciated forum site guys and any info you may be able to offer..

Thanks for your response guys its much appreciated. I still am not sure if I have a electro fan clutch or not. I am not getting any high pitch or overheating so I am leaning towards the wiring harness but cant locate it. The codes are a bit different than some others mentioned..

I reset the codes and tried the vehicle again and there was a loss of power with the reduced engine speed. So I checked the codes again and it only has one code P1271

Welcome to the forum. P1221 is a "TPS 1/2 Performance" problem. The TPS actually has two sense circuits. The trouble code often indicates a correlation problem between the two since chances are only one circuit will develop a fault. Check the wiring:
Terminal G, GRY wire, TP Sens 1 5V Ref, to PCM connector C3, terminal 3
Terminal C, BLK wire, TP Sens 1 Low Ref, to PCM connector C3, terminal 59
Terminal A, DT GRN wire, TP Sens 1 Sig, to PCM connector C3, terminal 28
Terminal B, LT BLU/BLK wire, TP Sens 2 5V Ref, to PCM connector C3, terminal 49
Terminal H, BLK/WHT wire, TP Sens 2 Low Ref, to PCM connector C3, terminal 16
Terminal D, PPL wire, TP Sens 2 Sig, to PCM connector C3, terminal 30
P1484 is a "EV Fan Performance" problem. The Electronic Visco (EV) fan clutch is supposed to allow the fan to vary the rotational speed. The trouble code says the fan was running faster than desired which could mean an electrical or mechanical problem with the EV fan clutch.
