2004 chevy trailblazer 2wd ls 6cyl
Hello guys I am having a problem with my trailblazer its the transmission, its starting to take off in 3 or 4th gear its very sluggish in the begining, When I get up to like 60 or 70 its rides like if its in 3rd gear if I let the foot of the gas it it will let the passing gear through, I already changed the oil and filter twice, The first Time I changed it my wife was stuck at walmart and couldnt get it to take off, So I checked to transmission oil its was black it smelled burned I guess you could say, so i dumped the oil and put a new filter with the new oil, but I wasnt able to change to the oil from the converter, it drove good but it felt like it was hesitating just a lil bit, I left it like that till I was able to take it to get it flushed, Well About a week later my wife took it to one a quick lube service and they did the flush but not a filter change, So what Im trying to find out is could the filter that I put it first still have some contaminents in it causing it to drive iregular, or is there something else going on with the tranny it never gave me any trouble, and all of a sudden the damn oil turned black, I would always check it I would say about twice a month it was still redish pink, I dont know if this tranny is gonna go out on me soon, another question is it better to rebuild or just buy a used one from a salvage yard or Just sell the motherf***** just when Im about to pay it off it does this crap to me please any advise is grately appriciated thanks, ps it has 160000 mi by the way
