Default Oil pressure not working

2005 tb 4.2. My oil pressure gauge isn't working I have already replaced the stepper motor and the sensor itself. Am I missing anything? Or is it a pcm malfunction? Thanks

Noticed this today... If I reset my pcm the gauge will either max out and then slowly die all the way to zero as I give it throttle. Or it will go to 40 and then slowly die to zero. Misfire was caused by a bad coil pack so engine sounds good and I have plenty of oil. I'm just worried my gauge it malfunctioning because of a poor connection between the gauge and pcm or that the printed circuited board is shot

A relatively cheap and easy fix would be to put a mechanical oil pressure gauge in the car.

Check oil pressure to insure you have pressure. Replace sending unit located just above oil filter. Most likely leaking oil, clean plug with solvent to get oil out or replace it. Voltage on this is bias and not direct so it can short with oil contamination.
