I have a 2006 trailblazer without a bose system. 3 of the speakers stopped working or sound tinny. I tried a new radio and tried new speakers and it does the same thing. I do not believe there is an amp. Wires and connectors seem to be good as far as I can tell. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

 

I would have said speakers seeing GM used $2 speakers on the standard radio and are notorious for failing early in life. I have replaced all four in mine.

 

There are only four? I just picked up a TB last saturday and while it seems to be a solid used car purchase, the radio is less than stellar.

all depends on the trim level for radio build.


use the fade and balance controls isolate each speaker to see if they sound distorted.
