Unhappy 2000 Chevy Express cranks but won't start.

Chevy Express 1500 5.7 liter cranks but won't start. It sounds like it could be going to fire but then it doesn't run.

I checked the fuel pump And it doesn't seem to be the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am totally stumped here.

Do you have any codes? Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and test the pump. and regulator. If not you likely have an ignition issue going on. Are you getting a good spark?

Thank you for your reply. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Answer to question one: no codes

answer to question two: I tested the fuel pump gauge and it had over 60 PSI and dropped five psi in about 6 to 7 minutes.

answer to question three: I have spark on every cylinder

Spray some gas into the throttle body. If it runs for a few seconds then you have a fuel issue, Possibly clogged injectors.

I have found that I have spark continuously at one of my plugs or maybe more than one.

do you know why I would have spark continuously at one of the plugs?

i’m going to try this first and then I will try to bring the gas in to the throttlebody.

You posted in the Chevy Traverse section, so first of all I'd recommend posting in the right place where other Express owners see your question and give you relevant answers.

I wouldn't be concerned about waste spark. Fuel injection was a problem in those years, so I would follow oldchevy's suggestion.

Sorry I posted in wrong place. Not very computer savvy. I barely got anything posted at all.
I did read however on the rules that if I post on two different sites, that my info can be deleted altogether.

I tried to help. I didn't have to take time out of my day to give you that forum tip.

We suggested the next troubleshooting step. Ball is in your court.
