I have an 07 Uplander with the 3.9 and I have a surge at speeds over 30mph. I have changed spark plugs and wires. It is not setting any codes. If anyone can give me some information it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

What are the symptoms? I have a 2008 uplander and the tach would fluctuate and the vehicle would surge (sometimes jerk) and no codes set. I thought it was the torque converter clutch ( I work at a GM transmission plant). The dealer replaced the entire secondary ignition and rebuilt the fuel system to no avail. They replaced the trans valve body and pressure control module and problem was fixed. They feel the pressure control module was the problem.

The rest of the story
They had another 2008 Uplander in at the same time and same problem. Same fix cured it.

Well, I took it into the dealer with the above information and this was not the case with mine. Now they tell me that it has a code stored for throttle body closed and they want to clean the injectors and throttle body to see if that helps. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate this because I dont understand what cleaning the injectors is going to help the throttle body. Thanks everyone!

How many miles on vehicle? Have you owned it since new?
